Two brothers were arraigned before a Nakuru court on Friday for assaulting a man.
Paul Kiprono and Wesley Kiprotich were accused of allegedly beating their neighbour Wesley Kiptoo, injuring him on October 22, 2015 at Kambi ya Moto area in Nakuru county.
Kiprono told the court that the complainant confronted him when he was asking his money from a customer who did not pay him after she carried her using his motor bike.
"I was asking my money from a customer who i carried on my motorbike when he came and confronted me, she knew the lady who i have carried so he tried to defend her," he said.
Kiprono also added that the lady had initially gave her Sh1000 but he did not have a change to deduct his 100 fee.
He told the court that they both parted ways after the confrontation but Kiptoo went and destroyed his house which he later decided to go and reported to the police but he was arrested.
His brother Kiprotich told the court that his motorbike was taken to the police station by the officers after their house destroyed by Kiptoo.
Appearing before Principle Magistrate Wakumile Ndururu, they pleaded not guilty and urged the court to make an order that their motorbike be returned to them.
They were released on a cash bail of Sh10,000 each and the case will be heard on December 14.
