The Senate Majority Leader, Kithure Kindiki has put governors who have not signed the 38 billion medical equipment deals on notice. Speaking in Eldoret town on Wednesday, Senator Kindiki challenged the remaining governors to sign for the medical equipment since Kenyans hospitals were in need of the equipment.

“Governors has taken it too far Kenya need medicals services as good as yesterday who on his right mind does not need dialysis, heart and kidney machine, you should stop politicking about the matter but rather consider the needs of Kenyans” he said.

Kindiki reiterated once the deal is signed patients will not have to walk for long distances for treatment instead it will be available in the county hospitals thus no transportation cost.

“Governors should sign the deal since and should not have anything to worry since the project will fully be catered for by the national government and we will not allow them to deny Kenyans their right to medical services” he added

So far more than 42 governors has signed the deal and urged others to follow suit since the equipment will be of great use to Kenyans at the grassroots level.
