Talent is God given and every person has his own talent.

According to Pastor Elijah Edwin Osera of Global Revival Ministry, every person must use his/her talent well and in a productive way.

It is always believed that if you do not use your talent, it can be given to someone else. This is the reason as to why Kibera schools value talents therefore nurture them.

The sub-county has decided to award the best schools in the region as it seeks to nurture talent.

Leading the pack is Magoso Primary which is known to the residents as hotbed of talents.

This school has done Kibera proud in music festivals where it performed up to the national level and was able to pocket an award from the Kibra MP Ken Okoth on Friday during a prize-giving day at Jamhuri Primary.

According to Moses Ryan, a pupil at Magoso, they get support from their parents and teachers.

Among other talented schools in music is Ayany and Mashimoni Squatters’ primary schools which also shine at the national music festivals earning them a ticket to perform for the President.

However, in sports, Shardrack Kimalel Primary School has pupils who play lawn tennis and have since been viewed as Africa Champions.

Olympic Primary too is recognised for producing girls footballers in the region.

In support of this, area MP Ken Okoth in conjunction with Kibra CDF and Moving Cultures International organises Kibera Music Fest annually to allow pupils compete in different music and sports.
