The National Alliance (TNA) Nakuru chair Abdul Noor has called for the expulsion of Members of County Assembly from the county who he accused of failing to honour summons by the party’s disciplinary committee in Nairobi.

Noor said that defiance by TNA members must be dealt with to restore credibility to the party.

“Some TNA members from Nakuru have been defying summons to appear before the Disciplinary Committee to answer accusations leveled against them. This trend must stop,” said Noor.

Noor 's remarks comes after Florence Wambui (Elburgon), Stephen Kihara (Ndunduri), Ngware Nganga (Kamara) and Francis Njoroge (London) allegedly failed to honour a summon to appear before the committee.

The four have been accused of causing disturbances at Nakuru County Assembly during a motion to ouster Nakuru Speaker that flopped.

However, they have denied the accusations saying that the issue has been politically instigated.

Speaking to journalists in Nakuru town, Noor urged the TNA national chair Johnson Sakaja to take a stern action against the MCAs.

“We want tough action taken against those failing to honour summons even if they are MCAs or MPs,” said Noor.

He also said that arrogant members should be stripped off their tickets as they are disgracing the party. “The party should strip defiant members off of their tickets as a warning to others,” he added.

Efforts to speak to the four did not yield fruits as they are reported to be in Eldoret for the ongoing counties games.
