Mochenwa Location residents want a list of suspected robbers they gave to area administration chief reviewed and measures put in place to improve security
This comes after two grade cows belonging to Oyugi Mosigi were stolen as the residents now decry increased incidents of theft.
Residents who spoke on Monday to this writer said that they have sleepless nights because of the thieves in the area who are terrorising them.
Led by Nyakwana Orogo they have vowed to work with the office of the area chief and administration police in ending crime in the area.
“This problem needs to be addressed so that we can have peace in this location, it is so worrying to be in a place we call home while we are being threatened by enemies at night,” said Nyakwana.
They have accused administration police at Gesima for not taking their work seriously to see an end increasing theft cases.
Andrew Mokaya, says that there was a list of names that was given to the chief by residents for all suspected thieves but nothing has yet been done.
“Last time we had a meeting with chief he was given names of suspects, unfortunately nothing so far has been done and we have started witnessing increase in theft in this location,” Said Mokaya.
Area chief Magara Makori has assured residents that measures are in place to bring culprits to book.
