Enchoro sub location in Mochenwa location residents have challenged the administration to speed up the process of having a new assistant chief in place who will help to solve matters across the sub location.

This is because the residents have been without an assistant chief for more than 2 months after their assistant chief was sacked for his bad behaviour and corruption allegations.

According to residents, they have appealed to the administration under the leadership of their senior chief Magara Makori to speed up the process so that they can have an assistant chief in place who can solve some matters arising in the area.

Residents led by Jackson Atera, chairman to one based group said that they want to be involved during the exercise  so that they can choose one of the residents from the same sub location who understands them well unlike somebody from outside the sub county.

“We urge the administration to give us somebody from our sub location unlike other times whereby we have been having a sub chief from other sub locations who don't understand our area well hence difficulties for him in solving problems,” said Atera.
