Residents of Bahati constituency in Nakuru are full of praises for their Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri with a majority praising him for initiating projects aimed at making their livelihoods better.

A majority who spoke to this Hivisasa writer on Monday earmarked roads, streetlights, youth and women empowerment, water, schools and infrastructure as areas where the MP had performed well.

Moses Karanja, a second hands clothes dealer at Githioro in Dundori ward who is a beneficiary of the Youths fund says that Ngunjiri was a selfless leader that had given youth a chance to exercise their business prowess by offering them Uwezo and Youth fund loans.

“Our MP has a youth’s wing at his constituency office where any young person with a business idea can present a proposal that is reviewed before being considered for funding, he is the reason why crime levels have reduced in Bahati,” said Moses.

The better part of last week was utilised by the MP in delivering cheques to different institutions across the larger Bahati constituency for the purposes of infrastructural improvement.

He donated Kshs. 1 million to Dundori Secondary School for the construction of a girl’s dormitory, Kshs. 1.4 million to Central Primary in Kia Maina for the construction of three classrooms and Kshs. 800, 000 to Murungaru Primary for the construction of three classrooms as well.

The MP also met with the Aberdare’s Caucus with an aim of reviving the pyrethrum sector and also committed to converting King David Secondary School in Kendorumu into a boarding school.
