Limuru OCPD Mohammed Bakuli has advised motorists to be wary of misty and foggy weather as they drive on the roads in the area.

Speaking at Limuru town on Monday, Bakuli urged motorists to exercise caution saying that the changing weather could easily cause accidents. Bakuli said that several cases of road accidents as a result of misty weather have been reported in the past days.

“Motorists using Limuru roads and adjacent environments must be cautious of the changing weather as they drive to avoid cases of accidents,” he said.

Bakuli said that most roads in the area are experiencing mist and fog during morning and evening hours.

He also asked motorists to adhere to traffic regulations this festive season.

Bakuli said that more police officers will be deployed along the Limuru-Nakuru road to monitor rogue motorists during this festive season.

The OCPD’s caution to motorists comes as 3 people narrowly escaped death after the vehicles they were travelling in collided at Ngararinga market in Limuru along the Limuru- Nakuru road on Sunday evening.

The occupants of the 2 salon cars suffered minor injuries and were treated at Tigoni Hospital and discharged.

One of the saloon cars was said to be overtaking on the wrong side thus resulting to the accident.

The Limuru- Kinungi- Naivasha road has been cited as among the most dangerous roads with accidents common especially during the festive season.
