Joy Nyaitondi Omwansa of Elimu Academy, the best girl in Kisii County with 430 marks in the recently released KCPE exams says she wants to pursue medicine and become a surgeon post her secondary education.
Speaking to this writer on Saturday at their home in Nyanchwa, Nyaitondi said she wants to be a surgeon to help those who were suffering from surgical issues.
“I am happy for attaining 430 marks. It was through believing in God, hard work, determination and being obedient to parents and teachers that made me score these marks. I thank all of them for their support. I want to study surgery after form 4 so that I can help those suffering from various illnesses requiring surgery.”
Mercy Onwong’a, one of the best performers at Nyakoe Highway Primay School, attributed her score to her hard work, obedience to teachers and support from parents. She scored 389 marks.
The last born in a family of four intends to join Moi Girls Eldoret and plough her dream of becoming a doctor.
On his side, Ian Isoe Nyantika who scored 384 marks from the same school anticipates to join Kisii High, Maseno or Mang’u school where he hopes will achieve his dream of pursuing medicine after form four.
