Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has warned a section of politicians from the Gusiiland against misleading the community that the region's problems will only be solved through delegations to people's homes.
Bosire wondered why some politicians from the community had made it their business to beg the national government to initiate development projects in the region yet it was a right for every citizen to enjoy development from the Government since all Kenyans pay taxes.
In an indirect reference to a delegation of Gusii politicians who visited Deputy President William Ruto's Sugoi home last week, Bosire tickled the public in Kisii town on Friday evening when he wondered who between Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta should receive the community's development concerns.
"If I may ask,who between President Uhuru and his Deputy Ruto is supposed to receive delegations related to the Gusii community's development agenda?" posed the MP.
He said Ruto should not purport to have any executive authority to determine which region or community should receive what from the government, adding that such political thinking had been overtaken by events with the promulgation of the new constitution.
