Kisii residents have been advised to challenge all people who what to contest for various seats in the county.
According to former CIC chairman Charles Nyachae, when someone decides to contest for any seat he/she should know that it is like any other way of seeking a job, hence the residents should be able to do a thorough probe on the candidate.
Nyachae, who was speaking at Hema secondary school Ichuni ward on Friday during a funds drive, challenged residents to first ask questions to those who are going to contest what they are going to do.
“I would like to advise residents always to ask them questions what are they are going to do and if it is the one who is in power what he is going to do and why he did not do while in power,” said Nyachae.
He added that aspirants should realise that when they have joined the race they should know that they are looking for a job hence residents have potential of asking them question before given them the opportunity.
Nyachae challenged county leaders to deliver the services to the community so that they will maintain respect between residents and leaders.
“I have been in various meetings and people have been talking about respecting leaders, I think we should know that leaders always should delivery hence residents will respect them through work done,” added Nyachae.
