The National Council of Non Governmental Organisations in Kenya has revealed that it will soon launch a website to list all activities by NGOs.
The council said the website will also show the projects they are undertaking and the amount of money allocated for the projects.
Speaking at Gusii Stadium during the marking of International Anti-Corruption Day, the council's treasurer James Onkoba said that the website will ensure fairness and transparency in NGOs.
Onkoba said the online platform will also show the details of the beneficiaries from the projects.
He said the online platform will enable Kenyans to see how much is donated by donors to NGOs for specific projects and how much money reaches the beneficiaries of the projects.
"We want to bring the beneficiaries closer to the donors and through this platform it will be easy for the donors and beneficiaries to monitor how the NGOs spend their money," said Onkoba.
