In Kisii town and its environs experienced heavy traffic on Monday and Thursday due to the interruption of the market day.
Kisii County is among one of the most developing counties in the country, hence, there are many visitors and investors coming to town, therefore, the county management should have measures in place on how to end traffic jams in early stages.
Traders at Daraja Market on Mondays and Thursdays usually use roadsides to sell their commodities which puts their lives at risks. sometimes what dangers their lives as they are the cause of the jam. By 2020 if the current traffic jam cannot come to an end it will be much worse since we will have more investors.
Why can’t the county government of Kisii construct traders a good market to enable them enough space? Still the answer is yet to be answered. For the county to develop they should consider traders and Business community to build them where shades where they will shelter during heavy rain season.
The county is planning to have a business summit but how far has it helped the common traders before the summit?
