The private sector in Nakuru has received a pat on the back from the County Public Service Board chairperson Waithanji Mutiti for their endless support in and active participation in initiatives geared towards improving on the livelihoods of residents.
According to the CPSB boss, the sector has played a significant role in ensuring a majority of county projects are fully implemented.
"As a government, we can never make it without support from other stakeholders," Mutiti noted.
He spoke on Tuesday at the county headquarters when he joined Governor Kinuthia Mbugua in receiving a proposal from the Link Therapeutic Centre directors that will see the two entities set up a rehabilitation centre for recovering alcohol and drug addicts.
Mutiti further revealed that the county is constituting an alcoholic control board which he said will streamline and advocate for anti-drugs, alcohol and substance abuse.
"Let us all join hands in bringing up a sober and informed generation that we will be proud of in our sunset days," he said.
Apart from private participation, other departments that will be involved are health, youth, sports and public service management.
