The budgetary allocation for development in Nakuru County will hit 38 per cent this year.
In his new year message to Nakuru residents on Thursday, governor Kinuthia Mbugua said that despite the challenges that faced his government during 2015, the people of Nakuru have a lot to reminisce and celebrate about.
"I would like to sincerely thank the people of Nakuru for giving us a chance to work for them and more so without interference. Special thanks also goes to all the employees of the county government of Nakuru for commitment in service to the people," read part of the statement by the governor.
Mbugua also said the county government was making good progress in bettering service delivery to the residents.
"Nakuru County is moving in the right direction. We are sending a message of hope to our people that 2016 will be much better. We also appeal for support as we move forward. Together we will achieve more and develop our county," he said.
