Kambi who was speaking at Tindereti primary school during a voter registration sensitisation exercise urged politicians to launch registration concerns to the relevant body instead of going public on issues which have not been established.

He said with the continued political pressure from the politician IEBC is likely to fail in its mandate of registering people.

“I would like to ask my fellow politicians to desist from politicising registration exercise by raising issues that they cannot substantiate," said Kambi.

"It’s good for them to share their concerns with the electoral officials rather than going public. They are giving IEBC unnecessary pressured and this is likely to impede voter registration across the country,” he added.

He urged politicians to help in sensitisation of people in the ongoing voter registration and warned IEBC against succumbing to pressure from politicians.

“As politicians, we should only help the commission to sensitise people for registration," Said Kambi.

"Otherwise, it’s important that the commission ignores political statements regarding voter registration and do their work,” he added.
