There was drama at a beach in Shanzu area when two beach boys who happen to be friends, were caught fighting over an old white lady.
Witnesses say that one of the beach boys got upset after his friend 'stole' his lover from him, knowing very well that she used to support him and his family.
“This guy confronted his friend because this lady used to pay his children's school fees. When he found out that his friend had snatched his source of income, he become very angry,” said Betty, a witness.
The drama escalated when the friend called the old lady and asked her to clear the air.
The lady then went ahead to inform her former lover that she is the one who had approached the new boyfriend.
“She asked the former boyfriend how his kids were doing and told him that she will continue paying their school fees. She added that she now has a new boyfriend whom she approached of her own free will,” said Betty.
Witnesses were left amused when the lady walked away with her new boyfriend, telling her former lover to stop bothering them, as life is a competition for the highest bidder.
Beach boys in Mombasa are said to use any kind of means to get a white lady, with some reportedly going to the extent of using charm or killing each another.
