Drama ensued outside Kibuye catholic parish after two women clashed over indecent dressing.
One woman had put on a shirt with graffiti writings “Onge Chuor Ng’ato Kisumu Ka, which can be loosely translated to mean there is no specific husband to anyone here in Kisumu, which did not go down well with the other woman.
The offended woman said that is was bad for one to dress in such an outfit in a church.
According to witnesses, a verbal argument ensued between them before it escalated to a full combat.
“I saw the writings as the two women exchanged blows. And I thought they were probably fighting over a man. Actually, I enjoyed a bit of the hair pulling before the others came and together we separated them,” Lucracia Akinyi said.
“I was passing by headed to the market where I usually shop for foodstuff. I heard the young lady shouting at the woman asking why she cared and why it was her business what she wore. She then attacked her and that was it, they began to fight,” she added.
