News that one of Cord principals Moses Wetangula was battered by his wife elicited a hot debate within the streets of Nakuru.
Residents engaged into heated debates about the issue. At Oginga Odinga Street, bodaboda riders hotly debated the issue.
“Had it been that Wetangula was the one who beat his wife, we wouldn’t be in peace. Women activists would have swung into action like bees demanding the immediate arrest of Weta,” George Oduor said.
“True we need to defend men also as women defend their own. We are asking the Njoka to come out,” another rider said.
Interestingly, the issue has run out of being a domestic affair into a political one.
“In Luhya land, no man who is man enough can be beaten by the wife. This is a shame and Weta should quit politics. He should forget about running to be president,” Kennedy Ashikanga said.
