Samuel Karanja, a boy child activist and the CEO of Ladder of Hope Kenya, said that they have been receiving reports from the street children with claims that they were being approached by members of gangs.

The gangs, he said, were increasingly appealing to them to become registered members.

Karanja was speaking at a Nakuru hotel where he pointed out that there are approximately 2000 street children in Kenya.

“Why can't we gather all of them and take them to school or rehabilitate them? By doing this we will turn them into positively active members of the society,” he said.

Karanja on the same note raised concern that the boy child has been neglected in the society.
