As the race for presidency tightens, many Kenyans are set to vote in the upcoming 2017 general elections.
Many political leaders have started campaigns to get voters to vote for them so that they can extend their terms. Those who are eyeing the different positions in government have come out strongly to campaign for themselves and fight for what they want.
Among those looking for the votes is CORD leader, Raila Odinga. The former prime minister has been on the fore front in opposing the Jubilee leadership.
Raila has urged the Luhya community to vote for him quoting Elijah Masinde, who was a luhya prophet. According to Raila, Elijah said the leadership of Luhya community will first come from the lake side. He believes that for the community to take over the leadership of the nation, they must collaborate with the people from the lake side. He believes he is the person who Elijah was referring to.
Raila has, therefore, urged the Luhya community to make this prophesy come to pass by voting for him in the upcoming general elections as Kenya’s president.
