The Kenya African National Union (Kanu) now claims Jubilee Alliance Party is planning to rig by-elections slated for March 7 in Kericho and Malindi.
Speaking in Eldoret, Kanu Rift Valley region representative Jonathan Bii said Jubilee is hatching plans to rig senatorial and parliamentary by-elections in Kericho and Malindi respectively.
“Jubilee is planning to rig election results in Kericho and Malindi because the race is tough for the party and they will use all means to ensure they retain the seat (Kericho),” he claimed.
Mr Bii appealed to Kericho and Malindi residents to be on the look out.
“It's alleged that Jubilee is planning to conduct voting at a different place from Kericho and Malindi and later the results will be ferried to those places. We urge the residents to be watchful,” he added.
Malindi and Kericho seats felt vacant after Dan Kazungu and Charles Keter were appointed Cabinet Secretaries late last year.
