Kibera bodaboda operators have pleaded with their area MP, Ken Okoth, to help them by constructing a parking shed in at the DC market bodaboda stage.

Speaking this afternoon at the DC market area, a bodaboda rider, Pius Sure, said that if the area MP will construct a parking shed for them, it will be a big thing for them as bodaboda riders in the area.

"During strong sun we are literally burnt by the sun and during the rains, we are forced to leave our motorbikes in the open which leads them to get rained on they are rained on which reduces their durability. Once the seat of the motorbike is torn rain water penetrates through rendering useless in a few week," said Sure.

"As operators, we spend long hours under the scorching sun waiting for customers. If sheds are constructed we will be comfortable and this will boost our bodaboda operations in the area," said Pope Matunda, another bodaboda operator.

''We voted for our MP and we believe in him. Let him come out and build parking sheds not only at the market but also at all the bodaboda stages within Kibera slums because the sheds will help us with our customers during the rainy seasons and strong sun rays,'' said Matunda.
