Gatundu North sub county Member of Parliament Francis Kigo Njenga has assured residents of Mataara of the completion of his started projects by the end of year 2016.
Kigo noted that apart from facilitating the murraming of Gituamba-Mataara road, helping Mataara water project to access self sustenance, improving security by helping in deployment of police officers, renovating classes, providing bursary and providing youth with employments, he was also committed in helping Mataara people improve the electricity connectivity by fastening the rural electrification process.
Speaking from Mataara shopping center where he attended a public baraza on Sunday, Kigo assured residents completion of projects that have been lying incomplete.
He disclosed that Kshs. 200, 000 was awarded to Mataara students in the form of bursary citing that the zone was the best beneficiary of the funds.
"I am humbled to have been the first Member of Parliament to facilitate the murraming of Gituamba-Mataara road which has been a campaign zone over years for many politicians. This is only a drop in the ocean of the many projects I have decided to complete here in Mataara before the end of 2016," he said.
"I have not abandoned the AP post. I have been engaging with the area county commissioner and from the recently issued report, the post will be occupied by officers before May this year," he added.
Kigo gave Mataara water project Kshs. 500, 000 to help the project in re-paying the World Bank debt that has been in existence since 2010. He also gave Kshs. 300, 000 cheque for the renovation of Miugu Primary School classes.
