This employment plan was launched at the Give Hope hall on Friday and among other members present was the Kikuyu member of county assembly, Binary Wainaina.
Kimani Ichung'wa said that the plan is aimed at offering employment to the unemployed youths, women and the disabled in the community.
He thanked Kikuyu MCAs for their support and making the plan successful adding that those in the grassroots areas of Kikuyu constituency would be hired to clear bushes along the roads, unblock sewers and clean up markets saying they would be paid between Sh8,000 and Sh10,000 every month.
He also said that those who would be hired would also be trained on entrepreneurship so they could also venture into businesses and offer opportunities to other unemployed people.
"We are aiming at reducing unemployment among our youths, women and the disabled persons and this programme will really play a major role in that," said Ichung'wa.
He also noted that they are encouraging other leaders to start this plan to eradicate unemployment, revealing that the disabled would be offered lighter duties and also receive entrepreneurship lessons to enable them start their businesses.
