The Kisii County government has been challenged to improve the transport sector by opening and repairing roads to enhance transport before and after the investor summit.

Former Kisii deputy mayor, Patrick Siro, said that the county has got many challenges in relations to the roads more so in the CBD of Kisii town, which needs to be addressed.

Addressing county government officials and other stakeholders at Kisii County Stakeholders Consultative Forum, Siro urged the county to put measures in place to help in the aid of opening and constructing of roads which will enhance transport.

“The town, more so in the CBD, is experiencing heavy traffic jam simply because some roads need to be opened. We urge the county government through the Ministry of Roads to adjust and open such roads to enhance smooth transport,” said Siro.

He urged the county to use the investor’s summit to get the investor who can help them to end the traffic jam.

“Let the upcoming investors summit help us to get an investor who can help us in terms of constructing roads and opening of some,’’ he said.
