Deals worth Sh21 billion were signed during the Kisii Entrepreneurship Summit that came to an end on 27th February at the Kisii University,

Among the key deals is a construction of sugar factory in the county, a low-cost housing project and improving internet infrastructure.

India based Kanoria Group set aside Sh5 billion for the establishment of a sugar complex that is set to produce sugar, ethanol and power in South Mugirango sub-county.

During the summit closure, Kanoria Group Chief Financial Officer Vinod Vora said,

"The sugar complex factory will crush 2,500 tonnes of sugarcane to produce 86,000 tonnes of sugar,7,500 litres of ethanol and 8 megawatts of power while the biomass waste will produce animal feed," said Vora.

Liquid Telecom pledged Sh6 billion for internet connectivity in the county.
