People living with disabilities in Kisii County have challenged the county government to remember them during the upcoming investor summit.
According to them, they want their representatives to be given an equal opportunity like other residents in the county so that they can present their views during the summit.
Speaking at Kisii town on Thursday, last week, Kisii County president of People Living with Disabilities, Kennedy Kombo, said the county needs to remember them during the summit so that they can present their views.
“We are urging the county government with the able leadership of Governor James Ongwae, who has been in front of helping us people with disabilities, to remember us during the summit,” said Kombo.
In addition, they also want to get an investor who can help people living with disabilities across the county on how they can develop themselves.
“As the investors are coming to attend the summit, we would also like to get an investor who can help us in terms of development and we hope that we are going to get one,” he said.
Kombo also challenged the county government to repair some roads before the summit begins to enhance transport during and after the summit.
