Residents of the larger Kuresoi South sub-county have expressed their contentment after the county government made true its promise of having the road stretching from Kwa Mwaura, Langwenda to Muchorwe repaired.
This, they said, will not only open up the area for potential investors but also ease transport of goods and services in and out of the constituency.
A majority who spoke to this writer on Tuesday praised the projects, arguing that it was long time overdue.
"Having been born and brought up here, the last time I witnessed this road being re-carpeted was more than 15 years ago under the president Daniel Moi regime," noted Mzee Silas arap Rono.
The biggest beneficiaries will be motorcycle operators and motorists who noted that the project will ease the mantainance costs that had posed a direct effect on their service delivery over the years.
"Tear and wear was our main concern because the poor state of the road made parts fall off regularly and replacing them at times is too costly," noted Jeremy Rotich, a boda boda operator.
The project is being fully funded by the county government of Nakuru at a cost of Sh3.5 million with the Chesoen-Ambusket road being next at an estimated cost of Sh1.5 million.
