County Assembly Majority leader Josphat Lowoi has dismissed the recent results showing the Jubilee administration was losing support in the country.
The opinion poll by Ipsos Synovate showed the popularity of President Uhuru Kenyatta and that of his Deputy William Ruto had declined while that of Opposition leader Raila Odinga had increased.
Speaking in his office on Wednesday, Lowoi said the poll was politically instigated to show that President Uhuru was under-performing
"I do not support the recent poll by Ipsos Synovate," Lowoi said.
"They have been politically instigated by politicians from the opposition to show that the President is loosing popularity among Kenyans. Who did they interview to come with the results. I urge them to be conducting surveys in all parts of the country before concluding with their results."
He urged Kenyans to ignore the opinion polls but instead support the government in power since it has much in store to offer.
He spoke days after Ipsos Synovate released poll results showing President Uhuru Kenyatta's popularity had dropped from 52 per cent to 35 per cent and that of his Deputy William Ruto from 34 per cent to 28 per cent.
