Kisii deputy governor Joash Maangi has represented the county at the second annual conference in Naivasha on the administration of justice within the context of Devolution.

The event which began on Thursday was organised by the Council of Governors (CoG) together with the National Council of Administration of Justice (NCAJ).

The forum brought together stakeholders from the justice sector and county governments.

The purpose of the conference is to discuss the state of county courts, the transformation of the law through devolution and the signing of the proposed framework by all involved stakeholders in the administration of justice in the counties.

The event was opened by the chairman of the Council of Governors Peter Munya who said that counties needed to be vested at county levels.

"Having a judicial system that cooperates all the way from the national architecture and trickling down to the county governments would not only ensure that order is maintained but that potential conflicts are minimised," said Munya.
