Machakos County ‘first lady’ Lillian Nganga has visited a children’s home in the county.
According to Governor Alfred Mutua, his wife went to Alfalah Children's home in Machakos sub-county to visit the less fortunate.
The children’s home is the Machakos County Children's Welfare Programme, under which Ms Nganga made the trip.
The home takes care of rescued street boys and orphans, according to Governor Mutua.
During the visit, the county ‘first lady’ urged the members of the society to spare at least 12 days in a year to spend with the children in the home.
“"I will continue to support the less fortunate in the society and I urge all of us to at least spare a day each Month and share with these kids - so together our children live comfortable and wholesome lives," she said.
