A middle aged man is currently fighting for his life at Nyamira level 4 hospital after allegedly eating a poisonous meal.
The man identified as Edwin Abuga from Makairo village in Bogichora ward is said to have come to his home about 9pm where he told his family that he has already had a meal at a hotel and went to sleep.
According to her wife Jemimah Abuga, his husband started complaining of severe stomach ache and that’s when they called a taxi to rush him to hospital.
“We were shocked because he did not eat at home and he had said that he had eaten in a nearby hotel with his friend,” said Jemimah.
According to one of the clinical officers in the hospital Mrs. Yvonne Onkundi, the man had taken poisonous food and they are yet to identify the poisonous substance he had ingested.
