A middle aged man was on Thursday night bitten by dogs hence bleeding to death in Kalingile area in Nguluni location Matungulu sub-county.
Benard Mutua, the deceased brother said that his brother left home in the afternoon to drink liquor in a neighbouring home only to be brought dead at 11 pm by unknown men.
The man blamed the local chief for failing to put an end to illicit brews in the area.
According to Nguluni location Johnbosco Ndambuki the man identified as Richard Maele was too drunk to go home when the homeowners threatened to let the dogs out to bite him.
However, the man is said to have turned a deaf ear and instead asked for more liquor, when the owners let the dogs free and pounced on the man biting him on the legs.
Ndambuki noted that the house owners were arrested and the body taken to Kangundo level four hospital mortuary for postmortem.
"Police have launched investigations into the matter to establish what transpired," said Ndambuki.
