Honourable Thomas Kasoa, the Mbiuni ward Member of County Assembly and also the leader of the minority in Machakos county on Monday chaired the official opening of a newly drilled borehole in Mbiuni market.
"I am glad that now Mbiuni residents and the surroundings will have adequate water supply since this borehole is capable of supplying water in several lines. One line will supply water to Mbiuni School of the Disabled, the second will supply Utithini village and the third line will supply Kikae village. Mbiuni market residence will be able to get water supply from the tanks established here at the main supply,'' said Mr. Kasoa during the ceremony.
Kasoa also said that he will speak to Mr. George Luka Kioko who is in-charge of the Minister of Water, Irrigation and Sanitation in Machakos to make sure he initiates the drilling of other boreholes in Mbiuni Ward so that the people can get the water supply within the shortest time possible.
He further mentioned that several boreholes have been drilled in Etikoni, Ulaani, Kundu and Makileva locations.
On another note, the MCA commented on the commencing KCPE exams wishing standard 8 candidates from his ward all the best while also adding that the government should ensure that the KCPE exams do not leak like the KSCE leakage cases this year.
