Nakuru County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has called on the church to fight against tribalism.
Speaking in Naivasha on Sunday, Mbugua said that Kenya belongs to all tribes and there is a need for the church to preach co-existence. “Kenya is for all tribes. The church should continue preaching harmony for the sake of our nation,” He said.
The governor thanked the church for supporting government projects.
He asked worshippers to ensure they register as voters and ensure they elect leaders who pass integrity tests. Naivasha was one of the worst hit areas by the 2007 post-poll violence.
