Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has been praised by several leaders in Gilgil sub-county for his contributions towards development across the region.

Mbugua was led by other county officials on Thursday where he donated over 700 school uniforms to pupils of Karunga Primary School in Murindat Ward.

Area MCA Monicah Gitau was the first to appreciate the governor’s development record in the county.

"Governor Mbugua's work in our ward can be seen through improved roads, installation of street lights and construction of markets such as Karunga market among others. This clearly demonstrates his hard work and sacrifice to the development of this area" Gitau said.

The school's head teacher, Sammy Mbugua also thanked the county boss for the uniform donations stating that most parents are less fortunate to buy uniforms for their children.

"Many of the parents in this school are among the less fortunate in the society and the donations will help boost pupils' morale in academics," the head teacher said.
