Speaking in his office on Tuesday, Kiplombe MCA Ramadhan Ali said that there were rampant cases of insecurity at the center.

"In a span of one month, six people have been attacked by gangsters and killed in the area. The recent one was when a bodaboda operator was killed on Monday," he said.

He said residents were living in fear.

"It's sad that people continue to lose lives despite us reporting criminal cases to the police," he said.

He added that residents are forced to close their business by as early as 6pm due to fear of being attacked by thugs.

He urged the national government to boost security in the area to avoid further loss of lives.
