Residents of Nakuru County have joined the fray in calling for Devolution Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru's sacking.
From community leaders to traders, youth to the clergy, the residents said the CS exit was long overdue and its time the President cracked the whip.
Elder Charles Rop of Nakuru for Peace Caucus urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to act fast and sack Ms Waiguru lest he jeopardise his second term bid.
"People are growing restless and the President should sack the CS or risk losing votes in 2017," he said.
Paul Nderitu, a trader in Shabab Estate admitted that the continued stay of Ms Waiguru in the Cabinet was calling into question the President's dedication to fighting graft.
"People are doubting if President Kenyatta is really committed to fighting graft. He should sack Ms Waiguru," he stated.
Tom Bwire, a youth leader in Nakuru West, said that just like other Cabinet Secretaries who had stepped aside, Ms Waiguru should have followed suit a long time ago.
Pastor Emmanuel Mureithi of Pentecostal Assembly of God Rhonda said that people suspected of having engaged in corruption were supposed to step aside to pave way for investigations.
She urged Ms Waiguru to heed to calls to resign adding that it was not condemnation.
The CS has been on the spot over graft in her devolution docket, including Sh791 million that she admitted was lost in the National Youth Service and the recent revelations of inflation of prices of items purchased for her office.
