Machakos County governor Dr Alfred Mutua Saturday launched a movement which he said will improve lives of Kenyans.

Speaking at Machakos Stadium during the launch of Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC), governor Mutua said that the initiative was not only for Ukambani region, but for the whole country.

“Maendeleo Chap Chap is a national movement that can turn our country to be like Singapore or South Africa,” he said.

“Today, I announce the launch of a movement focused on improving the way of life of people to effectively deal with poverty,” he said in a loud, clear voice amid cheers from the huge crowd that attended the event.

The governor further added that each person has only one life and that life deserves to be decent.

“You have only one life and that life. That life deserves to be decent and of high quality just like in other countries like Singapore and South Korea,” he said.
