Residents of Nakuru town will benefit from an additional shopping centre with the opening of a new supermarket this month.
The new supermarket, Rihab Mart is situated on the Oginga Odinga – Langalanga Road junction next to Eagle Hotel.
The supermarket proprietors are definitely hoping to cash in on the heavy pedestrian traffic who use the road to Bondeni and Langalanga estates and those who use the Oginga Odinga Road.
The point where the supermarket is situated is also popular with boda boda riders and will definitely bring business to the shopping mall.
Rihab Mart will also include a dairy, bakery and an eatery in a clever attempt to attract a diverse client base and offer an all under one roof solution.
Travellers to Olenguruone, Ngata and Eldama Ravine who use the matatu stage established last year outside the CBD will be the greatest beneficiaries as Mark Musonik, a tout at the stage admitted.
“The opening of the new supermarket will be a great relieve to our customers who have been doing their shopping in town and lugging it for long distances. The only problem I’ve noticed is lack of parking outside the supermarket,” said Musonik.
