Resident camping at Bahati CDF offices seeking Hon. Kimani Ngunjiri's intervention after over 100 youths who are mostly motorbikes riders and operators were rounded and locked up at the Bahati police station on unfounded allegations on Saturday. After locking up the youths, the police officers allegedly demanded between Kshs.1, 000-5, 000 from each of the suspects in order to secure a release.
It took Hon. Kimani Ngunjiri's bravery to walk into the police station to demand the youths' release and a refund to all the money they had paid to the police. Surprisingly, the youths had not been booked into the occurrence book and no receipts with regards to the money paid had been issued.
