I have lived in this beautiful town of Nakuru for most of my life, since the good old days when Nakuru was dubbed the cleanest town in East Africa.
That glory is long gone now and Nakuru is now a town filled with warning signs in almost every place even in the least expected such as in tuk tuks and matatus.
Here, you will find notices such as "usitupe takataka".
It seems the town residents have become so careless that they have to reminded to be disciplined at every corner they turn.
The most common signs you will notice are "usitupe takataka", "kojoa upigwe", "usiteme mate", "usimwage maji"..... the list is endless.
The notices are everywhere from restaurants to offices, street corners, churches, hospitals, plots, vehicles... just every place in town is full of warning signs and notices.
