Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti has called for investigation of Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua.
Ndeti asked the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Keriako Tobiko to investigate the source of the money which the governor is using to open Maendeleo Chap Chap offices in the country.
Ndeti wants the governor to explain where the more than Sh120 million he used during the launch of his movement came from.
The CCU party leader accused the governor of being self centered and not being interested in serving his people.
“The governor should lead by example. He said he will not condone corruption in his government yet he moved to court to block EACC from summoning him,” said Ndeti.
She added, "Machakos people are tired of his empty promises and sugarcoated lies,” said Ndeti.
She claimed the governor is busy opening offices in parts of the country forgetting the important things in Machakos that need his attention like the bad state of roads and water shortage.
