The newly appointed ODM Nakuru County chairperson Peter ole Osono is already fast, and moving with his immediate priority being ensuring the party records large numbers in the ongoing voter registration exercise.

In a press briefing in Nakuru town Monday, Ole Osono noted that he was trying to put his house in order before formulating a working strategy.

"As we all know, the party has been involved in many in house fights because of reasons that were beyond my intervention especially because I was not an official. Now that I am the head, let's forget the past because 2017 is here already," he said.

He further promised to work with like minded people ready to propel the party's agenda not only for Nakuru's political front but the whole nation as a whole.

The one time Gilgil politician lauded the call by party leader Raila Odinga who has urged ODM MPs to skip Parliament sessions so as to steer the voter registration campaign, a move he believes speaks of the party's preparedness for next year's general election.

"They say, once beaten twice shy, that is why as a party, we are not going to relent in efforts geared towards having our house in order next year. Preparing well is our starting point," he asserted.

The chairman was given the mantle to spearhead party activities in the county on Sunday at the county ODM headquarters by party National Election Board chairperson Judith Pareno among other party officials
