Former lands minister Charity Ngilu has condemned the killing of Prof Stephen Nzuve in his Tala home.
Speaking at the burial of the late in Tala, Matungulu sub county, Ngilu said that the death of the University of Nairobi lecturer was a big loss to the people of Matungulu and the whole country at large.
She said that police should up their game in fighting insecurity and ensure justice is served to victims of criminal activities by bringing perpetrators to book.
Ngilu observed that if security agents could have dealt with insecurity issue long time ago, then maybe the don wouldn't have been murdered.
"It's such a big loss and I vehemently condemn the coward killing of the professor, and I hope justice will be served," said Ngilu.
Her words were echoed by Matungulu MP Stephen Mule, who blamed lack of punctuality and ignorance by the police as the major contributor to cases of crime.
