Residents from Kimabundu in Kitutu Central ward Kisii County have accused the area Member of County Assembly of sidelining them.
This after the residents claimed that the MCA has been ignoring to support them in their bid of opening the Erera road which was closed last week leading them to make a vow not to re-elect him if the road remains closed.
Speaking on Monday during a peaceful demonstration they said that the area MCA Monyenye Yoge has sidelined them since he has not supported them as they want the road to be opened for them to get easy access to Kisii town.
Led by Joshua Nyakiya they said that they want the road opened so that they can easily access the town together with their children who school in Kisii.
“Many golf veterans have used this field but they never closed the road we appealed to the county government to join us so that the road can be opened," said Nyakiya.
"the road has been here for more than 50 years we wonder why now the management is closing it," he added.
Thy also urged Governor James Ongwae to fulfill his promises as he told them that the county government will help them reopen the road.
“The first time we held our peaceful demonstration Ongwae promised to help us but it is unfortunate that he has not done anything so far, we urge him to help us,” added Nyakiya
They vowed not to vote for current MCA nor the Governor if the road remained closed.
