Nyanza Regional County Police boss Willy Lugusa has asked his counterparts from other regions to be alert following credible information that wanted criminals were fleeing Kisumu to other areas.
Lugusa said that they have been hunting several suspected criminals who he said have fled the region to other neighbouring counties.
“We are coordinating with our counterparts in other regions to ensure that the wanted criminals are apprehended,” said Lugusa.
While thanking members of the public for cooperating with the police through giving vital information, Lugusa stated that this should be enhanced even more and spread across all regions in Kenya to curb insecurity.
His concerns come even as the police released a list of 50 wanted criminals being sought for in Kisumu.
One of them, two weeks ago, surrendered himself to the police.
Peter Otieno Adoyo alias 'taptap', who was number seven on the list decided to offer himself to the police.
