Kisii governor, James Ongwae, has mourned the retired Pastor, Dr Randolph Stafford, a resident of Brentwood, Tennessee USA.

Speaking in Kisii town on Saturday, Ongwae challenged faithful's to follow in the footsteps of the late Stafford, noting that he led by example.

The late Stafford was until his death, a renowned preacher who was the pioneer of the Kisii Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA), which he inaugurated in 1985 at the Gusii Stadium.

"I met the late Stafford two months ago when he was in Kisii to celebrate the church’s 30th anniversary. During the visit, he paid me a courtesy call at my office and at the culmination of the celebration I joined at the Gusii Stadium for prayers.To his wife Deborah and their two daughters and two grandchildren kindly accept my deepest condolences," said Ongwae.
