The Kenyan constituency has included a section of children’s right in the constitution. It also has different rights for other people. Just to mention the right of worship, every person has the right to worship.
Many school going children are using this right negatively. They cheat their parents that they are going for a kesha in only to be found in nightclubs. Many cases have been reported where police raid a club only to find minors. Some of the minors are too drunk to even know who is around or where they are. These children have a way of saying they are going to church on Sunday yet they are off to jam sessions in town. Last year, the police raided a jam session den only to find minors inside. It was shocking when parents said their children said they were going to church.
On New Year's Eve, five youths were involved in a road accident which cost them their lives at Salgaa black spot. One of the deceased's parents said their son said he was going for an overnight kesha in church and they went as far as giving him sh100 for tithe.
